Hendrix Genetics sponsors 'Meet Kate'

BOXMEER, The Netherlands-EU, 14 February 2012 - Hendrix Genetics sponsors 1.000 chickens to the Meet Kate foundation for a yet to be built poultry farm in Ghana.  Meet Kate is a Dutch foundation that offers the youth in Ghana an opportunity to build a better future for themselves. Meet Kate supports local business initiatives and guides these initiatives in their goal of becoming self-sufficient within a few years.

One of such projects entails the start of a layer farm. For this purpose, Meet Kate has rented a facility where 1.000 layers can be housed and they shall work in close collaboration with a Ghanaian layer farmer. Once all required operations are up & running and the production of eggs starts to pay-off, a new farm shall be built in close vicinity in order to make the business profitable.
