ISA forms part of Hendrix Genetics, a multispecies international breeding company with activities in layer, turkey, swine and salmon breeding. Hendrix Genetics has a worldwide coverage and has own operations in more than 20 countries and over 1000 employees.  

ISA has set the strategic course for the future. A strategy and vision with a clear focus and an organization to best accommodate our customers’ needs for parent stock layers and their offspring. 

 

People are Crucial at ISA

Approximately 320 employees form part of our international ISA organization, with a variety in nationalities and educational backgrounds. Close to 10% of our employees holds a university degree. All our employees contribute equally to our success, irrespective of their functions or positions in our company.

We stimulate cross functional team work, but we consider also the individual career development of our employees as of utmost importance. The ISA team consists of highly qualified and motivated members with expertise in research, genetics, technical service, nutrition, veterinary science, poultry management and sales and marketing. Like in a good family, we work with each other in an impartial and respectful way. We focus on the best possible result for each other and our company.      

The ISA international Headquarters is based in Boxmeer, The Netherlands, where we also have our Research and Technology Centre. We have GPS production locations on four continents. We sell our brown and white layer breeders in more than 100 countries through a network of national distributors, wholly owned distribution companies and joint venture companies. We provide our customers with tailor made technical service and management support.   

 

We are Proud on our History and Roots in Farming

ISA has its roots in France and the Netherlands. Under the umbrella of parent company Hendrix Genetics the French based ISA company merged in 2005 with the Dutch based company Hendrix Poultry breeders. The new combination has achieved a leading position in the layer breeding markets with a balanced product portfolio that consist of 6 strong brands of robust birds that cover all market demands. At heart we still are farmers. We contribute to feed the world with consumption eggs and egg derived products. 

 

R&D Driven

We combine our passion for poultry farming with our drive to apply the latest breeding technologies.

We heavily invest in the latest genetic tools like genomic selection, a way to mark, select and use chicken genes that influence performance. We strive for balance between new technologies, like genomic selection and breeding IT and more traditional genetic tools. Our breeding program is excluded from the use of any genetic modification or cloning techniques.

 

State of the Art Breeding Farms

We keep our purebred lines in superb conditions at several locations in France, The Netherlands and Canada. Our biosecurity conditions are very strict. Housed in spacious single cages, our pure lines enjoy a constant climate and a constant feed quality.The bird health status is constantly monitored. To eliminate contamination from outside we use FAPP (filtered air positive pressure) systems in our farms. We expect all of our employees to be advocates for animal welfare, at all of our farms.
