Praise for our productive layer breeds at IPE 2012
31-Jan-2012
With over 20.000 attendees and a very well-visited booth, the 2012 International Poultry Expo (IPE), which was held in Atlanta last week, turned out to be a big success for us. We received lots of praise for the productiveness of our layer breeds and oftentimes references were made to the 38th North Carolina Layer Performance and Management Test (Volume 34, November 2011), which clearly confirm the superior number of eggs per hen housed of our birds.
The productiveness of our breeds fits very well with the highly inspiring speech that was given by Jeff Simmons (president of
Elanco
) at IPE's education session "An executive conference on the future of the American egg industry", where he argued that the most important topic facing mankind in the next decades will be the food shortage and that the only way to meet the demands is through increased productivity of current resources.
Besides contributing to this major cause, the economic benefit of the productiveness trait is much appreciated by our customers and also attracted numerous prospective clients to our booth this year. We hope to welcome them as our new customers next year at IPE 2013!
